Dream playground being held up by nightmare funding?

Building a dream playground requires more than just a dream. Dream playgrounds require the coordination of community members, multiple agencies and typically a lot of funds. Because of this, many dream playgrounds never get installed. Especially in poorer and underserved communities. However, KOMPAN thinks these are the communities that deserve dream playgrounds the most.

This is why KOMPAN is partnering with Alexandra’s Playground, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that works to bring the Gift of Play into the daily lives of children, particularly those growing up in underserved neighborhoods.

Alexandra’s Playground, established in 2009 to commemorate the life of their founders’ daughter, Alexandra Vitale. The organization aims to positively impact the world by creating empowerment and community.

An Alexandra’s Playground typically starts with strong communities coming together to build even stronger neighborhoods and families. The result is dream playgrounds!

KOMPAN wants to help you bring The Gift of Play to your community. They are providing five Matched Funding Grants of up to $50,000 for a dream playground or fitness space to eligible applicants in June 2018. Eligibility requirements, terms and conditions apply.
